How Texas Rangers Blogs Rank on Google

This site has made its first appearance in Google search results for the query “Rangers blog.” It appears way down on the sixth page, which is much too low to attract any visitors.

This is a good time to check how other blogs devoted to the Texas Rangers rank on the same search:

  1. Lone Star Ball, SB Nation network
  2. Red Fever, NBC Dallas-Fort Worth
  3. Texas Rangers Blog, independent
  4. Rangers Rundown, independent
  5. Newberg Report, independent
  6. Nolan Writin’, FanSided network
  7. One Strike Away, ESPN network
  8. Foul Territory, Fort Worth Star-Telegram
  9. RangersBlog.Com, independent
  10. Postcards from Elysium Fields, MLB.Com network

Two of the 10 blogs are currently inactive. Rangers Rundown and Postcards from Elysium Fields last updated in January. The author of the latter is longtime Texas Rangers beat writer T.R. Sullivan, who posts his stories elsewhere.

A lot of blogs for the NHL’s New York Rangers rank ahead of these baseball sites in the search. The first page of results has four blogs for the NHL team above Lone Star Ball. The top ranking blog overall is Blueshirt Banter, a New York Rangers blog at SB Nation.

The search also found blogs for the Rangers F.C. soccer club in Scotland and Kitchener Rangers junior hockey team in Canada. They would have been 7.5 and 8.5 in the above list, respectively.

Welcome to the Site

This site launched today with the long-term goal of becoming an important part of the online community for the Texas Rangers. I began following the team as a five-year-old when they moved to Arlington in 1972 and have remained a steadfast fan ever since. This is our year!
